CCGrass is delighted to support the Non-League Paper<\/a>, by sponsoring the Cup Run of the Year, at this year\u2019s National Game Awards.<\/p>\n

The winner, from the Southern League Division One Central, is Halesowen Town FC<\/a>, who defeated three National League clubs, Maidenhead United, FC Halifax Town and Barnet in their unfinished historic run, in the elongated 2019-2020 season\u2019s FA Trophy.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

\u201cIt came as much of a surprise to us as anyone,\u201d<\/em> said manager Paul Smith. \u201cI did not think a Step 4 club could ever go so far in the FA Trophy so it wasn\u2019t really a priority, if I\u2019m honest. It was always the league.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

After 13 FA Trophy ties, including a win over CCGrass customer Bradford Park Avenue<\/a>, and another four in the FA Cup, you might be thinking the focus on the cups had come at a cost to Halesowen\u2019s league form. However, they were second in the table, with a game in hand, before the season came to a close and will start next season as favourites for a return to Step 3.<\/p>\n

CCGrass Business Development Manager, Jamie Forrester, added, \u201cEvery player loves being involved in a cup run, so the players from Halesowen have had a season to celebrate. CCGrass is thrilled for the team, and hope it is not the only trophy they win this season.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t
