Revisiting Woodhouse Grove School<\/h4>\n

When Woodhouse Grove School chose a CCGrass surface for their new rugby pitch, way back in 2012, they were one of the first schools to go the \u201cartificial\u201d route. Now, nine years later the pitch is well established and has proven a great success.<\/p>\n

As part of the CCGrass pitch monitoring, UK CEO, Bryn Lee, called in at \u00a0the school last week to see how it was faring.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cGiven how much the pitch is used by Bradford City Academy, the school and local community, I was really pleased with its feel, look and performance. It has been well maintained, and is in great shape.\u201d<\/em>\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t

The installed surface is the Stemgrass EX2 60<\/a> turf, onto an insitu pad, and the football\/rugby pitch, once again, achieved its World Rugby<\/a> certification in November 2020.<\/p>\n

Bryn commented further:<\/p>\n

\n\u201cPerhaps the most impressive feedback I received during my visit, was a comment made by one of the Academy players. He said that the pitch felt very natural underfoot, a \u201cworld away\u201d from other synthetic turf he has played on.\u201d<\/em>\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Stemgrass EX2 features a texturised \u201cthatch\u201d yarn, which helps contain the infill material and gives a surer footing as a result.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cWoodhouse Grove School was one of the first pitches using this technology. It has proven to be a real winner and creates a great playing surface for both rugby and football.\u201d<\/em>\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t
