On May 11th 2019, World Rugby Preferred Producer, CCGrass, played host to a visit of the Deputy Secretary General of the Chinese Rugby Association, Liu Chenglong, at their main factory. Keen to understand how synthetic turf is made and to discuss rugby in China, Mr. Liu, was given a full tour by Ms.Yan, from the CCGrass China sales team.

During the visit CCGrass introduced the range of rugby specific turf systems that have become so popular around the world, and their impact in the development of rugby. These include products that have been installed at major clubs, schools and universities, and are tested to World Rugby Regulation 22.

Mr. Liu discussed how popular rugby is, especially in the major rugby playing nations, including the United Kingdom, France, Australia, South Africa and New Zealand. He explained the vision of China to embrace rugby and support its development.

Ms.Yan commented, “Although rugby is not widely known in China, CCGrass, as a company is proud to globally work with World Rugby to develop the sport, and is the only Preferred Turf Producer in Asia. We very much hope that following the visit of Mr. Liu, we can work with the China Rugby Association to promote the game, here in China.”
