CCGrass completes FIFA Forward Project in Puerto Rico
CCGrass, the world’s largest producer of synthetic turf, and FIFA Preferred Producer, has recently completed a FIFA Forward Project in Puerto Rico. The pitch, installed for the West Centre of Football Development (El Centro de Desarrollo de Futbol del Oeste) in Anasco, was built to FIFA Quality standards.
The FIFA Forward Football Development Programme aims to improve the way FIFA develops and supports football across the globe, to reach its potential in every nation, without barriers.
As a FIFA Preferred Producer, CCGrass was selected to build this new field to enhance the training standards for the local national football team. Construction and installation took place despite a local hurricane that caused power and water supply issues. Notwithstanding, the pitch was completed to the satisfaction of Mr. José Estevez, FIFA’s Forward Project manager. He commented: “For our youth, with the new pitch, the generation now begins to enter the stage of development and opportunity.”
CCGrass supplied the Nature D3 turf at 50mm pile height for the Anasco pitch. Nature D3 is an established turf for over 10 years more than 20 FIFA certificates and is proven as a hard wearing, but soft to touch football turf, ideal for community, club and professional use. It also has a very natural appearance, even fooling a local iguana, during the turf installation.
